Many of our members have taken the opportunity to chant Torah for the High Holiday Services. You can speak to Bonnie Goldstein or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to practice one of these readings yourself and familiarize yourself with the portion. The Rosh Hashanah Torah Portions cover Genesis (Bereshit) 21 (First Day) and 22 (Second Day). On the first day, it is divided into six (seven if Rosh Hashanah falls on Shabbat) aliyot and is followed by the Maftir from Numbers (BeMidbar) 29:1-6. On the second day, it is divided into five aliyot followed by the Maftir.
