Our Activities

In addition to Shabbat and Holiday Services we offer many activities throughout the year. Stemming from our tradition as a rural synagogue each fall we have a Corn Party right around the High Holidays. This is a family picnic held nearby with roast corn and potluck desserts. We also hold a community Tashlich service the first day of Rosh Hashana. The reading of Parsha Noach is supplemented with the March of the Stuffed Animals especially for the children of our synagogue.

This year we participated in a community candlelighting for Chanukkah which was very popular and we frequently have a pot luck dinner and kids' Talent Show on the evening of December 24th. Our Religous School holds a Tu B'Shevat Seder each year as well as hamentaschen and matzah baking.

We also hold an annual Progressive Dinner for the adults in the congregation, usually in Spring, and close out the year with a Religious School picnic.

We have many clubs and activities including Adult Education classes on Hebrew and Jewish topics, Shul Stichers, a sewing circle that meets Thursdays, an active Men's Club and Sisterhood.
